Staff members of Affordable Cremation Services are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

Brad & Glenda Whinery Owners

Brad is a licensed Funeral Director and both he and Glenda are licensed insurance agents.  Brad and Glenda graduated from Sayre High School and were married in 1975.  After attending the University of Central Oklahoma they returned home and began working with Brad’s parents, A. L. and Dala Whinery.  Brad’s mother, Dala, was one of the first female funeral directors licensed in the state of Oklahoma.  In 1988 they bought Rose Chapel Funeral Service in Sayre and Cheyenne, Oklahoma and added the Fatheree-Albert Funeral, Erick, Oklahoma in 1989.  In 1993 they became owners of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service in Elk City, Oklahoma and then in 1999 they bought the Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service in Lawton, Oklahoma and established Affordable Cremation Service.  Over the next 15 years they became one of the premier independent funeral homes in the entire state.  Their growth over the next 15 years led them to build their newest facility, Reflection Pointe Gardens, the nations’ only 100% digital cremation gardens in the nation.  Affordable Cremation Service offices with Reflection Pointe Gardens.  Brad and Glenda have been active in their local community and has served as president of Rotary, PEO, and BPW.  Brad has also served as president for the Sayre, Cheyenne and Elk City Chamber of Commerce’s.  He also served Rotary International in a number of international offices that included District Governor, Regioinal Rotary Foundation Coordinator and Presidents Representative.  Brad and Glenda, junior high sweethearts, have two children; Dr. R. Brad Whinery, MD and his wife, Kristi and their son, Aiden and Chris Whinery (3rd generation funeral director) and his wife, Kaylynn and their two sons, Kyron and Keaton.  They are members of the Church of Christ.

Chris, the son of Brad and Glenda Whinery, grew up in the funeral business and he became the third generation of Funeral Director/Embalmer in the family. In 2004, he graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK with his Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science. After graduation, Chris returned to carry on the family tradition.

Chris is licensed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer with the Oklahoma State Board. He is a member of the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association and in 2005, he served as the District IV Chairman. Chris is involved in many organizations including; Kiwanis and the Elk City Flying Aces remote control aircraft club where he currently serves as Vice-President.  He is a licensed pilot and currently is involved coaching his boys in baseball and basketball.

He is married to Kaylynn Whinery and they have two sons, Kyron and Keaton.  They are members of the 2nd and Adams Church of Christ.

Candra Davis Home Office Records

Candra Davis grew up in Elk City, OK where she graduated in 2003 and began working in administration.  She married Gered Davis in 2004 where they began their life together in Elk City.  She has two kids Kelsey and Dillon Davis.  Gered and Candra owned a Business in Elk City for 12 Years (Detailing Concepts) which they have sold 2 Years ago.  Candra is the daughter of Martin and Cathy Schneberger.  Candra enjoys helping people in time of need.  She is a very giving individual, and Loves to see people smile.  " I love what I do, I love to help where ever I can."  In her free time she loves to spend time with her family, go camping and ride her motorcycle.   She is a very active member of her church First Assembly Of God in Elk City.

Richard "Rich" Gragg Pre Arrangement Counselor

Rich was born and raised in Oklahoma City, and has spent most of his life here. He attended Central State University (now UCO), he has 5 children & 7 grand children. Rich is a licensed independent Life Insurance Agent in Oklahoma and has been working in the Life Insurance industry for more than 20 years.  He  began specializing in Final Expense Insurance in 2008 because of his sincere passion to help families prepare for the inevitable and assist in their time of need.

 “ I came to Affordable Cremation Services in October 2014 as a customer, after my  father passed away.  I was very pleased with the way everything was handled and the respect we were given by Brad and his staff”.

 Rich joined Affordable Cremation Service and Reflection Pointe Gardens in February 2015 as their full-time pre-need advisor.  “I am very happy to be here.  I enjoy helping families and assisting them with their pre-planning needs”.  “I feel the most loving thing a mother and father can do for their children and family, is to take care of their funerals ahead of time. It takes the stress and the burden off their family during their time of loss”.

 Rich works by appointment and is willing to meet with you in our office, your home or anywhere you choose.
