Carol Randall Badger, age 66 of Yukon, Oklahoma and formerly of Altus, passed away Tuesday
December 29, 2020 in her home.
Randy was born in Altus on August 20, 1954 to parents John Snow Badger IV and Carolyn
(Kilburn) Badger. Randy graduated from the Altus High School, Class of 1972. She went on to
attend Oklahoma State University where she received her B.S. Degree in Radio/TV/Film
(Production/Performance) in 1976. She spent 8 years in the media industry as a Continuity
Director, Newscaster Producer, Camera Operator, Audio Technician, Lighting Director and
Makeup Coordinator. Randy moved on to the Oil and Gas Industry where she transferred to the
Denver, Colorado office and managed the Administrative and Human Resources functions for
the Rocky Mountain Region. In 1988, she became the Construction Coordinator for the largest
franchise of Blockbuster Video covering a 9-state territory on the East and West Coast. In 1993,
her homebuilding career, Celestial Builders, began with Steve Wood. In 1997 she was awarded
Norman Builders Association First Vice-President and Builder of the year. In 1998 she was
awarded Norman Builders Association President. In 2004, Randy was awarded Norman
Builders Association Woman of the Year. She received many other awards throughout her
career as well. Randy was a diehard OSU fan and loved her college football. She had a green
thumb and loved to garden! If you ever were looking for Randy, you could find her in her kitchen
where she loved to cook and bake! Randy enjoyed keeping up with history and always dreamed
of visiting all Presidential libraries. Her contagious laugh and sense of humor touched everyone
she knew. Randy filled the roll of “Other Mother” to many whom she loved dearly. Randy had a
deep love for animals and rescued many.
Preceded in death by her husband Frank Hubble, grandparents, John “Papa” and Beverly
“Windy” Badger; John and Hattie Kilburn; her father; John Snow Badger IV; her mother, Carolyn
Ann (Kilburn) Myers; Step-father, Carroll Myers; one brother, John Snow Badger V; two sisters,
Rebecca Ann Badger and Lanie Badger.
Randy is survived by her sister, Jennifer Badger Bogle and husband Harold of Altus; one step
brother, Ron Myers of Oregon; one step-sister, Tawna Shultz and her husband David of
Edmond; three nephews, Blake Pewo and wife Stacy of Altus, Brandon Pewo of Altus; and
Tanner Swihart of Norman; three nieces, Emily Swihart Vollmeier and husband Richard of
Moore; Lindsay Swihart of Oklahoma City, Sarah Rowland and husband Blake Rowland of
Altus, as well as fourteen great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Randy’s Life will be held at a later date.
