Charles L. Walton, born September 25, 1945, in Fort Smith, AR went home on April 15, 2023. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Omah P. Smith and parents W.A. and Doris G. Walton. He was a 1963 MCHS graduate and Vietnam era Army veteran.
Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Jeannie L. (Raley) Walton; three daughters, who were all his favorite, Evelyn (Bill) Driver of Nashville, TN, Tonnia (Cody) Newberry of Warr Acres, OK and Stella (Wes) Brumley of MWC, OK; and the joy of his life – his seven grandchildren – who all looked just like him: Alax (Sheri) Bull of Alma, AR, Joshua Pilcher of OKC, OK, Zachary Newberry of Fort Smith, AR, Sierra Driver of Nashville, TN, Nathan Brown-Brumley of MWC, OK, Alexus Brumley of MWC, OK, and Tristan Brumley of MWC, OK.
Dad taught us that family isn’t about blood, but about love, acceptance, and respect. You build family where you find it. Our hearts are broken, but we will move past the pain and remember the love.
At his request, there will be no services. We would like to thank Centric Hospice Staff for their care and compassion during this time.
