Danny Dale Smith, a retired security officer and life-long resident of Oklahoma City died peacefully after a courageous battle with COVID.
Danny was born in Oklahoma on December 26, 1952 to Sigrid and Arnold Lee Smith. He received his Cleet Certification and worked as an armed security officer for several local banks until his retirement.
Danny is survived by his daughter; Christi Jeffreys, his grandsons Daniel and Dylan; his brothers and sisters David Smith, Debbie Hill and Bruce Smith. He is predeceased by his mother Sigrid Smith, his father Arnold Lee Smith and his grandparents Alex and Alice Stuermer.
Danny was a devoted father and grandfather. During the prime of his life he enjoyed scuba diving, lake time, weightlifting, and disco dancing. Danny was always in the business of making others laugh and he always made sure to cheer you up with a joke or two.
Danny was a spiritual man and during the last two years he studied the bible and the life of Christ with fervor and enjoyed special time with his grandson Dylan.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him.
A memorial service will be planned for some time next year when it is safe to gather and to celebrate his life. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 5505 N. Brookline Avenue, Apt 1407, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
