Obituary

Donna Blouin 68 years of age, quietly departed this life, Tuesday October 4, 2022 at her home in Yukon Oklahoma, surrounded by her family.

Donna Joanne Blouin (Hobson) was born on December 4, 1953 to Robert and Beverly Hobson in Los Angeles California. She attended Fresno Public Schools and Fair Oaks Public Schools, and was a graduate of Del Campo High School in Fair Oaks. She attended American River Jr College and Sacramento State University, focusing on Art and English.

At an early age Donna professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She was baptized at the age of 12 at Cypress Ave Southern Baptist Church where she traveled and performed with the youth choir. As a young adult she became a member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church where she later met the love of her life and future husband Rick.

She married Richard Blouin at Fair Oaks Baptist Church in May 1975 and they were blessed with two children, Jesse and Elizabeth. She was a proud Air Force wife and active member of the Officers Wives Club for 20 years. She taught kindergarten at Merced Christian School, was marketing manager at Aviation Challenge, served as church secretary at First Baptist Church of Merced and also at Highland Hills of Oklahoma City. She loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord. Rick and Donna moved to Yukon, Oklahoma to be closer to their children and grandchildren, where she truly enjoyed her role as Gaga.

Donna’s talents were many. She was an extremely accomplished seamstress, artist, and quilter. She loved reading, spending time with family, laughing, and always wearing a smile on her face.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, Robert Hobson; brothers, Roy Hobson and Dennis Hobson; father and mother-in-law, Ambrose and Marion Blouin; sister-in-law, Pattie Russell; and brother-in-law, Don Grier.

Donna’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by her husband, Richard Blouin; son, Jesse Blouin and wife Kasey; daughter, Elizabeth Blouin and husband Larry Gallagher; grandchildren, Cheyenne DeFehr, Christopher Heck, Kylie Weese and husband Trentin, Natalee Heck, Amelia Heck, Katie Beth Blouin, and David Blouin; great-grandchild, Hailey Weese; mother, Beverly Hobson; sister, Susan Chaussee and husband Dave; brother, Steven Hobson and wife Becky; sisters-in-law, Cecilia Grier and Kathie Hobson; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
