Joel Alen Drury, age 69 passed away December 27th, 2021 in Yukon, OK. Joel was born in May of 1952 in Vernon, Texas to Juanis Nunley and Allie Drury. Joel served his country for 21 years of active service and retired in 1993 as a Major in the United States Marine Corps. Joel was a very decorated and humble Force Reconnaissance Infantry Officer. Joel worked as a Vice President at Redlands Community College and retired in December 2013. He met his wife, Mary Drury in 1995 at his sister Debbie’s beauty salon. They fell in love and were married in June of 1997 and were married for 23 years until her passing in April 2020. Joel is survived by his daughter Melissa and son-in-law Russell Bell, son-in-law Tim

and wife Tami Tomlin, brother by choice, Jimmy Surber, his grandchildren Mason, Chloe & Brody Tomlin, his grandson Jase Bell, close friends Krista Martin, Rhonda Stice-Wells and a host of other friends, Marines, and shooting buddies. We will miss his generosity, wisdom, humbleness and love of good food.
