Obituary

Kenneth George Hibdon, age 69, died on April 13, 2022 in his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

George is survived by his wife Linda, stepson Trevor Peterson and wife Sara, grandsons Henry and Oliver Peterson of Oklahoma City, Sister Cynthia Matson and nephew Marshall Matson.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jean Marie Pope of Oklahoma City and his father K L Hibdon of Oklahoma City.

George was born on May 29, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK, to parents Jean Marie and K L Hibdon. He graduated from Central State University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science. He also attended Metrotech and became a respiratory therapist at the VA Hospital, where he worked for more than 25 years.

He was a great family man and a loving father. He married Linda I Peterson on February 15, 1985.

George was a social, active man who was deeply involved with his family for the majority of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outside, and going to OU football games and OKC baseball games.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
