Obituary
Mary Inez Shannon, age 89, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born October 17, 1933, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to William Earl and Inez (Applewhite) Helton.
Mary was a member of Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She is preceded in death by both parents; brother, James Earl "Buddy" Helton; husband, Paul E. Shannon; son, Larry Shannon; and sisters, Geraldine "Jeri" Helton and Una Carpenter.
Mary is survived by her sons, David Shannon and wife Krista and Richard Shannon; grandsons, Paul Shannon and wife Mehgan and Kyle Shannon; sister, Helen Glover; brother, Bob Helton and wife Phyllis; along with many nieces, nephew, and other family members and close friends.
A memorial service will be held for Mary at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 25th, 2023, at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church, (36305 Lake Road, Shawnee, Oklahoma) with Reverend Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
