Robert C. Case, age 62, recently of Guthrie, OK, experienced a massive brain bleed on Saturday, January 21, and stepped into the presence of his Lord early Monday, January 23, 2023.
Rob was born in Oregon. His family moved many times in his childhood, eventually settling in the Harrison, AR, area.
Rob graduated from Bergman High School in Bergman, AR, and moved to Tulsa, OK, to attend Oral Roberts University where he majored in telecommunication with an emphasis in TV production. He graduated after many, many interruptions in 2006.
While at university, Rob met his wife, Janice Baugher of Minneota, MN. They raised their five children in the Tulsa area where Rob worked for NBC affiliate, KJRH, channel 2, and other companies.
After two trips to Changchun, Jilin, China, that lasted 7 ½ years, where he taught English as a Second Language to university students, Rob and Jan settled in Guthrie. Rob worked as a free-lancer in the video world; but was able to find relaxation and enjoyment in gardening and raising a variety of small farm animals. He also liked to sell his produce at the Farmers’ Market in Guthrie and to make jams and jellies from mostly locally sourced fruits.
Rob also took pleasure in learning to play the guitar, mandolin and mountain dulcimer. He found great pride and joy in playing for our Heavenly Father in worship.
A dream of many years was achieved when Rob and Jan opened their home as a small bed & breakfast, where they were able to take care of visitors with hospitality and home-made breakfasts.
Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janice; children: Angela (Justin) Isaacs of Muskogee, OK; Lyssa Case of Fayetteville, AR; Jeremiah Case of Tulsa, OK; Meagan (Zachary) Morris of Oklahoma City, OK; Ryan (Bethany) Case of Sapulpa, OK; grand-daughters: Hannah and Abigail Isaacs; his parents: Bob and Florence Case of Huntsville, AR; and brother Brian (Penny) Case and their three children.
A memorial service is planned for 11 AM, February 4, 2023, at Generations Church, 2524 W. Noble Ave, Guthrie, OK. If planning to attend, please, bring a written anecdote of Robert for a memory book
