Roberta Lee DeBerry passed away on August 5, 2020 and is now reunited with her husband “ Bud”. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 4, 1946 to James & Violet Guthrie. Being a military brat she lived in many places including Japan. When in Okinawa, Japan, the blonde hair girl stuck out like a sore thumb. She was a daddy’s girl. But as she got older she took up the sport of bowling. She was on many leagues, sometimes with her mother and sister. She loved the traveling part of tournaments to Reno, Nevada. She also loved going out to the casinos; She would win some, and lose some.
She retired from the Small Business Administration.
We will cherish the memories she has left behind. She will be missed by us all.
She is preceded in death by her father James Guthrie; mother Violet Guthrie; sister Dawn Roiten; and husband Kenneth DeBerry.
She is survived by her sons: James Fields & wife Shelley of Midwest City, OK, Londel Fields & wife Melanie of Jenks, OK; two grandsons: Joshua Fields & wife Makensie of Midwest City, OK, and Caleb Fields of Midwest City, OK; two granddaughters: Milanne Fields & Landrie Fields of Jenks; and one great-grandson.
Due to Covid-19, a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
