Tamela (Tami) Joyce Raper
In remembrance of a full life, well lived and full of love we announce the passing of Tamela
(Tami) Joyce Raper (March 20, 1964 -August 18, 2021). Tami was born to LeRoy Fox and
Carolyn Fox on March 20, 1964. Early in life she lived in Gotebo and graduated from Gotebo
High School. She attended Southwestern State University (Weatherford, OK) for two years.
Tami married Greg Raper on June 8, 1985 and had two sons, Justin Raper of Yukon and Cade
Raper of Edmond. Tami became a proud KiKi on July 16, 2019 to Berkley Raper, daughter of
Justin and Jamie Raper.
Tami lived life to the fullest, always thinking of what she could do to help her family and others.
She was a soulmate, mother, daughter-in-law, KiKi, sister, daughter (Pal), niece and good
friend. Tami's many talents and gifts could be seen in the varied roles in life she lived. Tami was
a devoted wife and mother, loving daughter and sister, she worked in public schools, she was a
Vision Care Nurse, child caregiver, property manager, caregiver for her mother and child
caregiver for her grand-daughter Berkley. The theme song for Tami and Greg’s wedding was
Chicago’s “You're the Inspiration”. It was very evident in their relationship to see that they were
clearly the meaning and inspiration to each other. Her passion for her family could always be
seen no matter what circumstance should arise. Tami’s personal influence and love will be
missed and her inspiring spirit will live on with those she loved so much.
Tami is survived by her immediate family, husband Greg Raper, son Justin and his wife Jamie
with granddaughter Berkley Raper, son Cade Raper, mother-in law Jackie Raper, brother-in-law
