Wallace Robert Giasson of Oklahoma City, 79 went to be with his heavenly father on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. Wally was born on September 24, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Wallace A. and Julia Giasson. Wally graduated from John Marshall High School in 1961. While earning his his accounting degree from Oklahoma State University, he was an active member of the Lambda Chi Fraternity. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1965, he enjoyed his career as a CPA with the IRS and owning his own business. Wally married Nancy Sue Morehouse in 1965. Together they had three daughters. He stood by her side until the end of her hard-fought battle against cancer. He later married Kay Taylor in 1988. Throughout his life, Wally loved to play golf, cheer on the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Dallas Cowboys and drink lots of root beer floats.
Wally simply loved life. He was a positive person that had the best outlook on every circumstance he encountered. He’s known for his saying, “Everything happens for the best, even when you don’t think so at the time!” While Wally will be dearly missed, those who knew him are comforted in the knowledge that he is now with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Wally is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Giasson, daughter LeighAnn Giasson, parents Wallace and Julia Giasson, sister Joyce Hudman, and step-daughter Alecia Gray. Wally is survived by his 3 daughters: Laura Lynn White (Cody) of Nashville, Tennessee, Lisa Louise Bozarth (Dustin) of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Lindsey Lizabeth Redburn (Kevin) of Frisco, Texas. Wife Kay Taylor Giasson and step-daughter Ansley Fisher. Grandchildren, Ashlynn White, Kathryn White, Lauren White, Collin Bozarth (Financé Miranda McIver), Bryson Bozarth, Hogan Redburn and Blakely Redburn. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
