Wilma Sue Branham went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 13, 2021. She was born in Honobia, Oklahoma on January 21, 1943. Sue was 78 years old.
Sue was married to the love of her life, Marvin Branham in 1969. They were married for 46 years before Marv passed in 2015. Sue traveled the world with her family working for the DOD, FAA, U.S. Embassy and numerous military bases overseas. Sue’s long Civil Service career of 40+ years was exemplary earning her numerous awards and promotions.
Sue will always be remembered for her fiery red hair and outgoing personality. She never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. Sue was also a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord with all her heart. She attended Council Road and Trinity Baptist church. She loved going to church with her grandson, Gabe, and spending time together each weekend.
Sue’s children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved spending time with all of them playing games, cooking her famous biscuits and gardening. Sue was an excellent cook and shared her Oklahoma recipes with families around the world even making it in several cookbooks.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Marv Branham, and daughter, Kathie (Eric) Peters. She is survived by her son, Guy Branham, wife Tami, and grandson, Gabe; granddaughter, Heather Said, and great grandchildren, Ysabelle and Josef; granddaughter, Amber Welch, and great grandson, Lucas; granddaughter, Rose Welch, and great grandchildren, Angel, Michael, and Isaiah; siblings, Betty (Richard) Bennett, Jim (Ann) Seals, and Janice (Raleigh) Frost.
Sue Branham’s memorial service will be held at Council Road Baptist Church, 2900 N Council Rd, Bethany, OK 73008 on September 30th at 1:00pm.
